KEY ACTIVITIES ACHIEVEMENTS

TAS 2021

• Half Yearly Sediment Management/Analysis Report for the DGPC Plants

• Provide services to MHP Unit-III addressing issues
• Review the financial and strategies of HRDC to address the losses
• Feasibility study on accreditation of Lab testing equipment and services of HRDC
• MoU for Instrumentation at Punatshangchhu-I was signed between DGPC & PHPA-I on 13.06.2021 and Management approved the manpower to be
deputed to PHPA-I for Instrumentation & Monitoring.
TAS 2021 – ON GOING ACTIVITIES

• Applied research works on approved topics are under progress.

• Condition assessment of E&M equipment of THP.
• Criticality assessment of Hydro-mechanical equipment for all the Power Plants.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

• The work “Repair of cracks in Powerhouse and Dam of KHP “ is in progress.

• The work “ Modification & Extension of HRDC block at THP” is in progress.
• Microseismic monitoring is being carried out on daily basis in parallel to NIRM to build in-house capacity and 2 nd quarterly progress report
preparation is in progress.
• Preparation of SOP of Civil Grouting is in progress.
• Draft proposal for the procurement of “Geophysical Test Equipment & Diamond Core Drilling Machine” has been prepared.
• Submitted the progress report for the Project “ Capacity Development of Hydropower Safety” to Austrian Coordination Office, Thimphu.
• HRDC officials participated in the Mass Cleaning Campaign held at THP premises on 02.06.2021.
• HRDC officials participated in the cleaning of designated areas on 2 nd and 4th weeks of the month.
• Phase- 1 task of installation of PMU panel at Power House, CHP was completed on 07.06.2021 & 08.06.2021.
• Some of the HRDC engineers attended a meeting with DGPC O&M team members regarding the progress of THP PH equipment’s condition
assessment TAS 2021 at HRDC conference hall on 24.06.2021 & 25.06.2021.

• Insulation resistance, sheath test and insulation diagnostic test were conducted for feeder 1 XLPE cable for CPU, THP on 07.06.2021.
• Earth Impedance test and instrument calibration were conducted at KHP on 08.06.2021 & 11.06.2021.
• Circuit Breaker diagnostic testing was conducted for 20 MVA transformer 2 at CHP on 14.06.2021.
• HVDC withstand re-testing on Generator U1 stator Y-phase and U2 stator were conducted at THyE, Trongsa on 15.06.2021.
• Insulation Diagnostic test and Primary Injection test on ICT (220/66kV) and ICT CTs (66kV&220kV) were conducted at BHP from 23.06.2021-
25.06.2021.
• Circuit breaker test of Unit 2 & 4 were conducted at KHP on 25.06.2021 & 26.06.2021.
