What is
Management?
The coordination and administration of tasks
to achieve a goal.
It is the process of giving direction and
controlling the various activities of the people
to achieve the objectives of an organization.

Functions
Planning
Program strategies are laid out to
achieve the desired outcomes.
Ex. Forecasting, Budgeting,
Formulating Procedures.
Organizing
Aids in developing a group
structure with definite scope of
work for every member.
Ex. Division of Labor,
Coordination, Works to be done,
etc.
Staffing
The recruitment, selection, and retention of
members wherein they are given appropriate
assignment with training and professional
development.

Leading
Directing the organization to
motivate and empower individuals
in carrying out the program.
Controlling
Ensures proper plan execution within the goal of the
organization. Ex. Monitoring, Assessment,
Evaluation, Feedback, etc.
Sports officials
Tournament Officials
In-charge of officiating the event. They have in-depth
knowledge about the sport/event.
Supervision of sports competitions in
accordance with established rules.

Elimination
This is for short round of matches. This is suitable for
time-constrained events but is disadvantaged for maximal
play.
