ongoing details about student needs and preferences, interpreting details, and making course
commitment based on interpretation. The prodcedure of needs analysis contain of deciding
what details and instruments to obtain it, interpreting it, making some commitment, and
evaluating those commitment.
2.2 English for Tourism

Cho (2005) states that English for tourism is seen as an range

of business English and consolidate trade English and English
for scholastic purposes by bridging workplace communication
and classroom utilize. This could help to extend the work
openings within the universal industry.
2.3 Tourist and Tourism Practitioners

Mccabe (2009) describes Tourist is a person who

temporary travel from their place to live to another
place and also is a person who spend money from
their place to live and not from the place they
visited. Setiawan (2016) believes that a Tourism Practitioner is
someone who has a big role as a supporter of tourism
activities. The tourism practitioner is the main key in
running the tourism industry, there are 3 things that need
to be considered by the tourism practitioner, namely
knowledge of the procedures for serving tourists in
tourism destinations and services at hotels, knowledge of
the equipment needed when conducting tourism services
and development of attitudes or behavior in serving
tourism such as courtesy, friendliness, etc.
2.4 Authenticity in English Language Teaching

Basturkmen (2010) believes that Authenticity is a crucial issue that needs to be considered in
the design of teaching English using the ESP approach. The “authentic” materials are used as
materials and texts written for communication purpose not language teaching. It is important
to consider both authentic tasks and authentic texts. Furthermore, Guariento & Morley
(2001) states that Authenticity aims to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and the
needs of real world events.
2.5 Standpoint Model

Sujana (2014) describes the standpoint model is a

reference for needs analysis by recognizing authentic tasks
and authentic texts that are used by job actors in carrying
out their duties and responsibilities.
