Recommendations include simple tips like turning
off unused devices, investing in energy-saving
equipment, and considering distributed generation
with solar power.
the
Paper Safety, awareness, and record-keeping are
highlighted as essential aspects of the audit process.
Home Energy Yardstick: Allows users to compare
their home's energy consumption with similar
homes nationwide.

Process
Daily Energy Consumption Calculation:
Calculated the total energy consumption for
each appliance based on daily usage.
Analysis
Determined the total power and energy
needed by one apartment and extrapolated
it to the entire building.
Energy Cost Analysis: Utilized a table format to
summarize energy consumption data and
calculate the total cost per day per apartment and
per month for the entire building.

Process
Electrical Bill Calculation: Researched the cost
of electricity in Morocco and calculated Farah
Inn's daily and monthly expenses for electrical
energy usage.
Analysis
Utilized professional software to input and
analyze a year's worth of usage data, facilitating
comprehensive energy consumption insights.
Conclusion for
Project 2
• Our collaborative effort with Farah Inn
exemplifies the commitment to promoting
energy efficiency and sustainability.
• By conducting a detailed energy audit and
implementing cost-effective measures like
solar panels, we aim to not only save
money but also contribute to
environmental conservation.
• Through meticulous planning, data
analysis, and utilization of professional
tools, we strive to pave the way for a more
energy-efficient future in the hospitality
sector.
Part 1 and 2 of Project 3
• This presentation offers insights into solar panel site
visits and characterization, focusing on panels
located at AUI's swimming pool area. It covers
various aspects, including the types of solar panels
present (monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and
amorphous silicon), their efficiencies, optimal
conditions, and orientation. The significance of solar
irradiance, panel connections, power output
estimation, and losses in solar panels is discussed,
along with proposed mitigation strategies.
Additionally, the fabrication process of silicon
material and hands-on measurements of panel
characteristics using multimeters are explored,
highlighting efficiency analysis under real conditions.
The presentation emphasizes the importance of
renewable energy technologies and concludes with a
call for further exploration and audience
engagement.
