The documentation that accompanies


software products tends to fall into two
broad categories. According to Barker in
Documentation for Software and
Information Systems Development, there
are two main types of software
documentation:
a.Development documents
b.User documents. 6

• To track product development by creating
information about the development process.
• to create product information for user
documents

A desk file is an official document or


manual for a position at an individual
level. Contains detailed guidance and
information on the daily tasks carried
out by an individual for the position
held. Desk File is an important
management tool that can contribute
to increase productivity

•to improvise the efficiency and effectiveness of
each individual
•to provide detailed guidance on all the tasks
carried out by an individual every day.
•provide list duties and responsibilities of an

individual perform their duties efficiently
