Introduction
Definition of Obesity :- Obesity is a sever as well as chronic disorder which is also an important risk factor for
lifestyle related chronic disease. When an imbalance is caused in the consumption of energy and expenditure of
energy lead to the condition called obesity.
 Obesity is now so common in various geographies that it is beginning to replace conditions arising from
malnutrition and infectious diseases as the most significant contributor to ill health.

Conlusion

 Current study has been performed to develop and evaluate a polyherbal formulation to
manage obesity, as an alternative solution on allopathic/ synthetic drug and surgery.
 A herbal formulation in the form of a tablet was developed and evaluated using various
parameters as part of preliminary investigation.
 This is the first formulation in this category comprising jackfruit, ash gourd, camel milk, and
other putative Indian medicinal plants.
 Further optimization is underway to make formulation easy to handle and use in a palatable
and user-friendly manner.
