INTRODUCTION

On October 12, 2023, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise

Zone Authority (TIEZA) sent a letter detailing the documentary
requisites and draft of the MOA for the proposed Tourist Rest Area
(TRA) Project.

ABOUT THE PROPOSED TOURIST REST AREA
(TRA) PROJECT

The LGU of Guiuan sees a steady influx of tourists from different parts
of the country as well as foreign tourists.

While the LGU sees an opportunity in the growing tourism industry, it is our
shared responsibility to safeguard the welfare of these tourists and to provide
exceptional experience which is reflective of our commitment to outstanding
public service. The TRA will be an invaluable asset towards providing
outstanding tourism experience in Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

the DOT in collaboration with TIEZA. It aims
to provide unparalleled levels of convenience
and comfort to tourists.
