 Повоєнний Львів
Повоєнна історія Львова складна і
суперечлива. З надією чекали львів'яни
вигнання німецьких окупантів. З острахом -
приходу більшовиків, які ще "за перших
совітів" показали, на які злочини здатний
тоталітарний режим. І хоча чимало людей
сподівалися, що радянська влада "змінилася
на краще", такі ілюзії поділяли не всі.
Відбудова з перших же
днів велася таким
чином, щоб
підпорядкувати
економіку
"загальносоюзним
інтересам", побудувати
"економічну базу"
тоталітарного режиму.
 Відновлення
роботи
громадських
установ, закладів
освіти, здоров’я
та ін.
Авторитарно-командна система управління всіма
сферами суспільного життя Львова все більше
зміцнювалася, апогею досягла культоманія. У всіх
ланках політичної системи - Радах: профспілкових
і громадських організаціях - панував формалізм, а
народовладдя, по-суті, було фікцією.
 Українізація? А що, якщо
з точністю навпаки?
Тоталітарно-репресивна машина проти українства
Львова все більше розкручувалася. Львівські
партійні ідеологи своїм головним завданням в
справі "перевиховання" української інтелігенції
вважали боротьбу проти концепції історії України
М. Грушевського та його послідовників. Щодо них
застосовувалися найбрутальніші та найогидніші
методи й засоби сталінського режиму. Тут можна
згадати М. Возняка, І. Крип'якевича, М. Кордубу,
М. Рудницького та інших національно свідомих
інтеліґентів.
 Як і в довоєнний час, радянський режим знову почав масові
арешти, вбивства і вивезення на Сибір українського
населення. У Львові проводилися нагінки і репресії серед
інтелігенції, студентів, насильно насаджувалася русифікація.
Ідеологічна, соціально-культурна ситуація у Львові середини
40-х -початку 50-х років негативно вплинула на літературно-
мистецьке життя, багато діячів були позбавлені можливості
творчо працювати.
 Великої шкоди
мистецьким, науковим,
архітектурним цінностям
Львова завдавало грубе
адміністрування в галузі
культури. Сюди
скеровувалися з інших
реґіонів художники,
скульптори, літератори
нібито для "зміцнення"
місцевих творчих сил.
 Як і в довоєнний час,
радянський режим знову почав
масові арешти, вбивства і
вивезення на Сибір українського
населення. У Львові
проводилися нагінки і репресії
серед інтелігенції, студентів,
насильно насаджувалася
русифікація.
 Зустріч міста і села

У селі важливе значення для комуністичної радянської

системи мало відновлення колгоспного ладу - одночасно як
джерела продовольчого постачання держави і як форми
адміністративного контролю за селянством. Частка
капіталовкладень, виділених в УРСР у 1946-1950 рр. на
сільське господарство, була мізерною - 6,5 %. Досить високі
темпи відбудови промисловості досягалися за рахунок
нещадної експлуатації колгоспного селянства
 На величезних
будівельних
майданчиках влада
панувала залучати до
робіт селян і тим самим
збільшувати
чисельність робітничого
класу.
Відбувалась стрімка урбанізація — передусім
внаслідок міграції українського сільського населення
західноукраїнських областей. Урбанізації сприяли, з
одного боку, промисловий розвиток Львова, що
створював додаткові можливості для
працевлаштування, а з іншого — привабливість і
комфорт життя в місті.
