INFLUENCE OF GENDER DISCRIMINATION ON THE
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF LGBTQIA STUDENTS.
In G10 students at Luis Annex Ferrer National High School, LGBTQIA students often face a harsh reality:
discrimination based on their gender identity or sexual orientation. This research is about the influence of gender
discrimination on the academic performance of LGBTQIA students. Gender discrimination is a prevalent issue that can
negatively influence the academic performance of a student. LGBTQIA students experiencing discrimination can
experience stress and anxiety, which can influence their ability to focus and perform excellently in their schoolwork.
This research explores the concerning influence of gender discrimination on the academic performance of LGBTQIA
students. Our research study goal is to provide evidence of the negative influence of gender discrimination on
LGBTQIA students' academic performance. By addressing gender discrimination, schools can foster a more equitable
learning environment where all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can reach their full
academic potential.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Gender discrimination is a widespread issue that can negatively impact various aspects of life, including
education. LGBTQIA students may be subjected to a specific form of gender discrimination due to their
sexual orientation and/or gender identity. This research aims to investigate how this discrimination might
influence the academic performance of LGBTQIA students.
