OBJECTIVES
:
● Illustrate the SAS, ASA, SSS,
congruence postulate and SAA
theorem; and
● illustrate inductive skills to prove
congruence between triangle.

SAS CONGRUENCE POSTULATE
• If two sides and an included angle of one triangle are congruent to two
sides and the included angle of another triangle, then two triangles are
congruent.

∴ ∆ 𝐴𝐵𝐹 ≅ ∆ 𝐷𝐵𝐶 ∴ ∆ 𝑀𝐿𝑁 ≅ ∆ 𝑃𝑄𝑂

ASA CONGRUENCE POSTULATE
• If two angle and the included side of one triangle are congruent to two
sides and the included side of another triangle, then two triangles are
congruent.

∴ ∆ 𝐹𝐴𝐵 ≅ ∆ 𝐶𝐷𝐵 ∴ ∆ 𝑄𝑅𝑆 ≅ ∆ 𝑄𝑇𝑆

SSS CONGRUENCE POSTULATE
• If the three sides of one triangle are congruent to three sides of another
triangle, then two triangles are congruent.

SAA/AAS CONGRUENCE THEOREM
(Non-included Side)
● If two angles of a triangle and a side opposite on of its angles are
congruent to two angles and a side opposite one of the angles of
another triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.
