OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT WORK

• To demonstrate a batch cylindrical ball mill operation by

carry out simple screen analysis at different speed and
demonstrate a sieve shaker operation.

2
PROBLEM STATEMENT

• Reasonable addition of grinding media. Ball filling rate- the

ratio of grinding media to the volume of the mill, is so
important to the mill rotation rate. The following shows their
relations:

3
ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT WORK

This project is to design and fabricate the mini ball mill that can grind the solid
state of various type of materials into fine powder and capable to work efficiently.
The cylindrical jar is used as a container, motor is used to rotate the jar using pulley
system and the regulator controls the speed of the rotation of the jar. The solid
material will be put into the stainless steel jar with the metal balls. Then, the jar will
be rotated by using motor with regulator attached to it to help control the rotating
speed.

RESEARCH GAP

• Identifying a research gap is a critical step in designing a research

project. It refers to the existing void or deficiency in the current body of
knowledge within a specific field or topic of study. Here's how to
identify a research gap:
• Literature Review: Conduct a thorough review of existing literature,
including academic papers, journals, books, reports, and conference
proceedings related to your research topic. Look for areas where
existing studies have not adequately addressed or fully explored certain
aspects of the topic.

5
NOVELTY/INNOVATION IN THE PROJECT

The novelty or innovation in a project refers to the unique

or original aspects that distinguish it from existing research or
practices in the field. Here are some ways to incorporate
novelty or innovation into a project

PROJECT WORK PLAN
• To study the reference journals and law of ball milling.
• To calculate required measurements for design of ball
milling.
• Draw the 2D image of ball milling.
• To design a ball milling on solidworks.
• To apply patent for it.
