The article analyzed from trancribing /g/ sound by
the test that given.
DISCUSSION
From the data analyzed, most fourth-semester
students demonstrated good mastery in pronouncing
the sound. The students excelled in certain aspects,
such as pronouncing silent /g/ before /n/ at the end
of a word and soft /g/ sound. However, they faced
challenges in pronouncing silent /g/ before /m/ in
the same syllable and words with /gh/ sound.
CONCL
USION
Based on the result, the pronunciation problems of
Indonesian EFL learners in pronouncing the /g/ sound in
English words revealed valuable insights into the students'
proficiency and challenges in pronunciation. The challenges
were attributed to differences in sound systems between
Indonesian and English, as well as varying levels of
motivation among students.
