Why this Mitigation Measure is Important

Since last many years the Village Dehlan and its surrounding area experience
severe flooding problems during rainy season There is alraedy constructed drain
in village Dehlan Lower but there is no cover over this drain and during rainty
season due to flooding in surrounding area there is danger to local residents as
well for livestock. Therefore to safegaurd the pubic/ wild animals it proposed to
cover the drain. The Area effected is approximate 12 Hect. , 38 Nos. of
Households and 192 Population will be banefited by providing Providing RCC
channel in village Dehlan lower from RD 00-300 mtr.

Detail of Vulnerable Area

The village Dehlan is situated in Tehsil and District Una and about 8 km from
Una on Una-Nangal road. During the rainy season, flash floods directly hit the

valuable land, 20 Nos. houses and commercial properties like shops etc. located
on the both bank of Nallah. Approximately 12 Hectare land and 38 Nos. Houses
of village Dehlan Lower are always in danger of floods. Therefore it is utmost
important for Construction of RCC slab over the exisiting Drain in a length of
300 Rmt. on Dehlan Nallah.
