SYNCHRONOUS

COMMUNICATION
&
ASYNCHRONOUS
COMMUNICATION

1
SYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATION
Synchronous communications is that which takes place in real-time between
two or more parties. Put simply; a synchronous communication exchange
is an interactive, ‘live’ interchange between people. If you have ever
attended a conference call (or indeed any phone call) or a video call, you
have engaged in synchronous communication. The nature of any
synchronous type of communication necessitates an immediate response.

2
ASYNCHRONOUS
COMMUNICATION
Asynchronous communication is any communication that
does not take place in real-time. Emails, forum
comments, and even feedbacks serve as examples of
asynchronous communication we deal with every day.
