Organization and Analysis of Assessment of Data from Alternative Methods

Objectives: In this lesson, the students are expected to:

1. use quantitative analysis to report the results of alternative methods of assessment;
2. present and summarize results of alternative methods of assessment to make them useful for learners; and
3. create a set of citeria. factors, and characteristics to be assessed using alternative methods.
Use Kendall to quantify the given scenario:
-Five students were tasked to demonstrate a certain performace task. During the performcne, three (3) raters were assigned to
rate their performances. The raters used a rubric with a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 is the highest and 1 is the lowest. Consider the
table below:
Five Demonstrators Rater 1 Rater 2 Rater 3 Sum of Ratings D

A 5 5 4

B 4 3 4

C 3 5 4

D 3 4 3

E 4 3 3

Question: What is the level of agreement or concordance among the raters based on the ranks they had shown to the five (5)
demonstrators? With the n=5, m=4,set at .05 level of significance, interpret the result or finding.
