Skin diseases are prevalent, highlighting the need for early detection. This project
addresses this by developing an AI-powered detection system on a Raspberry Pi. The
system leverages CNNs to analyze images captured with the Pi's camera. Preprocessing
ensures optimal image quality. The trained model then classifies potential skin conditions,
offering a portable and affordable tool for initial screenings.
INTRODUCTION

Skin diseases pose significant health challenges worldwide, with timely detection being crucial for
effective treatment. Traditional diagnostic methods often require specialized equipment and
expertise, limiting accessibility, particularly in remote or underserved areas. To address this issue,
we propose an innovative approach harnessing the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) and the
affordability of Raspberry Pi, enabling seamless and accurate detection of skin conditions at the
point of care.
EXISTING
SYSTEM
Current skin disease detection methods rely heavily on
manual examination by dermatologists, which can be
time-consuming and subject to human error. Additionally,
access to specialized equipment and expertise is often
limited, especially in remote areas, hindering timely
diagnosis and treatment

PROPOSED
SYSTEM
Our proposed system integrates artificial intelligence (AI)
algorithms with Raspberry Pi, enabling automated and real-time
skin disease detection. By leveraging deep learning techniques,
our system provides accurate identification and classification of
skin conditions from images captured by a Raspberry Pi camera
module..
