You have just listened to a report on an animal. A report

gives you information about something (animals,
natural phenomena, plants, etc.). A report starts from
general information to details, such as physical
description, habitat, diet, and breeding system. The
subject of a report is not specific but general. Learn

Description Title
Find action verbs in the text about
orangutans on pages 126–127.

Do you still remember action verbs?

When you can picture the “doing” actions

physically or mentally, we can call the verbs
action verbs.
Read the explanation.
Like adjectives, adverbs have a comparison and a
superlative form. You use them for comparing the
way people/animals do things.
You use more to make the comparative form of an
adverb and the most to make the superlative form.
A bike goes swiftly.
The deer runs more swiftly.
The cheetah runs the most
swiftly.
Read the explanation.

With adverbs that don’t end with –ly, you add –er
and –est to form the comparative and
superlative.

A bike goes fast.

A car goes faster.
A plane goes the fastest.
