my, your, his, our, your, their
her, its
Присвійні прикметники вживаються, щоб показати,
що щось належить комусь, або відносини між двома
чи більше людей.
Ми ставимо присвійні прикметники перед
іменником.
Exercise 1. Choose the correct option.
 They/ Their daughter is ten.

 I have got a cat. It/ Its name is Fluffy.

 Щоб показати належність:

 1) ми додаємо ‘s до імен та іменників в однині This is Meg’s
mum.
 2) ми додаємо ‘ до іменників у множині, які закінчуються на –s
This is the boys’ father.
 3) ми додаємо ‘s до неправильних іменників у множині This is
the children’s grandpa.
Possessive case
 Щоб говорити про речі, ми використовуємо прийменник of.
 Ann’s sister -- the leg of the table
 Ми ми додаємо ‘s тільки до останнього іменника, коли одна і та
ж річ належить двом та більше людей: Jenny and Nick’s house.
 Ми ми додаємо ‘s до кожного іменника, щоб показати, що
кожна особа має свою власну річ. Julia’s and Maria’s cars.
