Rathfarnham Castle which is a 16th Centaury
fortified house in Dublin. The castle was
originally built in the late 16th century (1583)
by Archbishop Adam Loftus.

 Rathfarnha • What I liked about Rathfarnham castle was

the architecture of the castle and the
m Castle beautiful grounds and garden around the
Castle which adds up to overall scenery of
the castle. There were various architectural
features such as stone carvings, fireplaces,
windows, and decorative elements like the
rooftops that contributes to the castle's
unique charm.
 Chester Beatty Library
• The library is named after Sir Alfred Chester Beatty, a mining magnate and philanthropist.
He donated his extensive private collection to the Irish people, and the library was
established in Dublin Castle in 1950. It later moved to its current location in the grounds of
Dublin Castle. We visited the library on 6th February

drawings, and decorative arts from various cultures and religions around the world. The
collections span a wide range of periods and regions, including East Asia, the Middle East,
North Africa, and Europe.
• What I liked most about this library was the library's collections that reflects the cultural
diversity of human civilization, featuring items from major world religions such as
Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. And it provided a unique opportunity for us
to explore and appreciate the artistic and cultural heritage of different societies around
the world
 National Gallery Of Ireland
• We visited National Gallery Of Ireland 26th February. The National Gallery of Ireland
houses the national collection of Irish and European art. The gallery houses an
extensive and diverse collection of European art, spanning from the Middle Ages to
the contemporary period. The collection includes works by renowned artists such as
Caravaggio, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Monet, and many others. The emphasis is on
European paintings and sculptures. In addition to its European collection, the
National Gallery also features a significant collection of Irish art, showcasing the work
of Irish artists from various periods.

• What like most about the art gallery were the stained glass by Harry Clarke. This
stained-glass window depicts scenes from John Keats' poem "The Eve of St. Agnes"
and is in the Shaw Room of the gallery. The window is celebrated for its vibrant
colors, rich symbolism, and meticulous craftsmanship.
