INTRODUCTION

 A magnet is a material or object that produces a magnetic

field. This magnetic field is invisible but is responsible for
the most notable property of a magnet: a force that pulls
on object, such as iron, and attracts or repels other
magnets.
 There are two type of magnet natural and artificial-:
 Natural magnet are the material which are formed
naturally in nature. Natural magnet always look like a rock
 Artificial magnet are material which are made artificially
made. They can be in any size or in any shape eg- Bar
magnet , round magnet, artificial magnet
etc
USES OF MAGNET
There are infinite uses of magnet ten use of magnet are -:
 1)Magnets are used in electric bells

 2)in magnetic compass

 3)in mag live trains

 4)used in refrigerator to keep the door closed

 5)it is used in tv and computer screen

 6)used to separate magnetic and non-magnetic substance

 7)magnets are used in cranes

 8)used in speakers which converts the electrical energy into sound

energy
 9)magnets are used in tape recorders and telephones

 10)used in electrical motors and generators which converts the

electrical energy into mechanical energy
DISCOVERY OF MAGNET
It is said that ,there was a shepherd named magnes, who
lived in ancient Greece. He used to take his herd of
sheep and goats to the nearbly mountains for grazing.
He would take a stick with him to control his herd .The
stick had a small of iron attached at one end. One day
he was surprised to find that he had to pull hard to free
his stick from a rock on the mountainside. It seemed as
if the stick was being attracted by the rock. The rock
was a natural magnet and it attracted iron tip of the
shepherds stick that's how the magnet were discovered.
PROJECT OF FRIDGE MAGNET
 This project is on making a fridge magnet

attached to a small magnet, which is used to post items
such as shopping lists, child art or reminders on a
refrigerator door, or which simply serves as decoration.
The fridge magnet was discovered by Sam hardcastle
