BIKE PARTS

Bike Frame

The bike frame is the most important part of a bike. As we mentioned earlier, it connects all the
components of the bike – but, it also has to do this in the correct geometric configuration. This is what
gives the bike strength and power, and also plays a huge role in how it’s handled by the rider. A bicycle
frame contains the following parts and also the material used for making a bike frame varies form
Aluminium,Carbon,Steel, Titanium
Fork
A bicycle fork is a part of the bicycle on which the front wheel is mounted and which is turned via
handlebars in order to steer the bicycle. It consists of a steerer tube, crown and fork legs and
dropout for receiving wheel axle. It usually has brake mounts as well. Fork parts. There are
many types of fork rigid fork ,coil fork, and air fork.
Stem

The stem is the component on a bicycle

that connects the handlebars to the
steerer tube of the bicycle fork.
Sometimes called a goose neck, a
stem's design belongs to either a
quill or threadless system, and each
system is compatible with respective
headset and fork designs:
Handlebar

A bicycle handlebar is the steering control

for bicycles. It is the equivalent of a tiller
for vehicles and vessels, as it is most often
directly mechanically linked to a pivoting
front wheel via a stem which in turn attaches
it to the fork.
Brakes
It refers to both the levers at the bars and the braking mechanism that stops the wheel from turning. There are
many different options available depending on your bike and the type of riding you wish to do. Our buying
guide will help you determine the best style of cycle brakes.there are two types of brakes hydraulic and
mechanical brkes
Hubs
The hub is the central part of your bike’s wheels (front and
rear), which connects to the wheel’s rim via the spokes
and through which the axle is fitted, enabling the wheel to
freely spin on two sets of bearings.there are different size
of hubs boots and non boots also there are two types of
bike hubs threaded and cassette tpe.
Rotors

Rotors & Disc Brakes Explained) If you ride a

mountain or hybrid bike, chances are you use disc
brakes. They’re even becoming a popular choice for
many road cyclists. Bike rotors are a key component
of a disc braking system.the size of rotors are 140 to
160mm.
Derailleur
The rear derailleur allows you to change
between the sprockets of the cassette on the
rear wheel. The rear derailleur tensions the
chain, while also allowing you to shift
through gears. It alters its position to keep
the chain tight no matter which gear you’re
riding in.
Cassette
The cassette is the set of gear sprockets (or
‘cogs’) By changing from one gear on the cassette
to the next, you are changing the ratio of the gears
and increasing or decreasing the resistance for the
rider. Understanding how a cassette .
Chain
A bicycle chain is simply a roller chain
that transfers the power you put into
your pedals to the wheel of your bike.
The harder you pedal, the faster your
bike goes. Of course, that’s an
oversimplification but that is
essentially the role your bike chain
plays in how the bike functions.
Bicycles actually precede bike chains.
Spoke and rim
Bike spokes are essential parts of a wheel that play a
crucial role in ensuring its integrity and
functionality. They connect the hub to the rim and
are responsible for transmitting the force from the
rider to the wheel, enabling it to spin smoothly.there
are different wheel sizes 26’r ,27.5 ,and 29r
Tires

This are tyres are built for everyday

conditions and are made of hard
compound rubber tires designed for
specific bikes, let’s look at the three
main types of bike tires: clincher,
tubular, and tubeless.
Bolts
This is the single thing that is holding
your bike parts apart just like the
relationship with your parents.
