Project Title: Exploring Abstract Art: A Journey

into Creative Expression

Overview:

 The project aims to introduce students to

the world of abstract art, its history,
techniques, and significance. Through
this project, students will not only gain a
deeper understanding of abstract art but
also develop their analytical and
expressive skills.
Guide

1.Groupings based on art movement activity

2. Select your desired type of abstract art
3. Collect a variety of art supplies to work with, such as:

 Canvas or paper
 Paint (acrylics, watercolors, oils, etc.)
 Brushes of different sizes and shapes
 Palette knives
 Markers or pens
 Collage materials (papers, fabrics, found objects)
 Any other materials you feel inspired to use
Choose Your Inspiration or Theme

 While abstract art doesn't necessarily have to represent anything

specific, you might find it helpful to have a general idea or theme
in mind to guide your creative process. This could be a feeling, a
memory, a color scheme, or even just an experiment with
different techniques.
Experiment techniques

 There are countless techniques you can use to create abstract art. Here are a few to try:

 Color Blending: Use a wet-on-wet technique to blend colors together directly on the canvas or
paper.
 Layering: Apply multiple layers of paint or collage materials to create depth and texture.
 Texture: Experiment with different tools and materials to create interesting textures, such as
sponges, palette knives, or even crumpled paper.
 Mark Making: Use brushes, pens, or other tools to create lines, dots, or shapes on your surface.
 Collage: Incorporate found materials or images into your artwork to add dimension and
interest.
