information from one individual to another or a group of people.

Effective Communication

• Effective communication definition is the process of exchanging or


transmitting ideas, information, thoughts, knowledge, data,
opinion, or messages from the sender through a selected method
or channel to the receiver with a purpose that can be understood
with clarity.
• It makes both the sender and receiver satisfied.
• Cyclic process that starts with the sender and also ends with the
sender as the sender receives a response or feedback from the
receiver.

Encoding
• It is defined as putting the targeted message into verbal or non-
verbal signals.
• The sender encodes the message into a series of signals.
Decoding
• It refers to interpreting the signals sent into language.
• The receiver after receiving the signal interprets it and then
responds accordingly.
