1. INSERTING IMAGES AND GRAPHICS

• From your computer: Click the "Insert" tab, navigate to the "Images" group,
and choose "Pictures." Browse your files and select the image you want to add.
• Online: Click "Pictures" in the "Images" group and choose "Online Pictures."
Use the search bar to find royalty-free images suitable for your presentation.
• Icons and shapes: Click the "Insert" tab and explore the "Icons" or "Shapes"
options. These provide various pre-made visual elements you can customize.
2. Adjusting Image Properties

• Resize and rotate: Click and drag the corner handles of the image to resize.
Hold down the "Shift" key while dragging to maintain the aspect ratio. Click
the circular handle above the image to rotate it.
• Crop and brightness: Right-click the image and select "Picture Format."
Explore the "Crop" and "Brightness & Contrast" options to adjust the image as
needed.
• Add effects and styles: In the "Picture Format" menu, you can find options
for adding borders, shadows, and other visual effects. Experiment with
different styles to enhance your image.
3. Working with image placeholders

• Using existing placeholders: Many slide layouts come with built-in image
placeholders. Click within the placeholder and choose your image from the
options mentioned earlier.
• Adding new placeholders: Go to the "Insert" tab and click "Placeholder" in
the "Text" group. Choose the type of placeholder (picture, table, etc.) and
click on your slide to add it.
• Swapping images: If you have an image placeholder, right-click it and
select "Change Picture." Choose a new image from your desired source.

1. INSERTING AUDIO:

• Click on the "Insert" tab.


• In the "Media" group, you'll find the "Audio" button.
• Choose "From File" to select an audio file from your
computer.
• Alternatively, use "Record Audio" to record a new clip
directly in PowerPoint.
2. INSERTING VIDEO:

• Similar to audio, go to the "Insert" tab and the "Media" group.


• Click "Video" and choose either "From File" to select a video
from your computer or "Online Video" to search for one on
YouTube (ensure appropriate content).
3. Positioning and Resizing:
• After inserting, click the audio/video icon to adjust its position
and size using the drag handles
SETTING PLAYBACK OPTIONS:

1. Play Controls:
• Right-click the audio/video icon and choose "Edit Video" (or "Edit
Audio").
• In the playback tab, choose "Start automatically" for immediate play
when the slide appears.
• For manual control, uncheck "Start automatically" and customize play and
volume options using the provided controls.

2. Trimming and Looping:


• In the "Edit Video" (or "Edit Audio") window, use the
trim markers on the timeline to shorten the clip.
• You can also choose "Loop until stopped" to have the
audio/video repeat continuously until the user pauses.
EDITING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT:

Limited Editing:
• PowerPoint offers limited editing capabilities for embedded multimedia.
• For extensive video editing, it's recommended to use dedicated video editing software
before importing the edited file into PowerPoint.
Audio Trimming and Fading:
• While editing audio, you can use the trim markers on the timeline as mentioned before.
• You can also set "Fade in" and "Fade out" durations to create smoother transitions for
your audio clips.
ADDITIONAL TIPS:

• Consider file size when embedding large audio/video files, as


they can increase presentation size and hinder smooth playback.
• Choose relevant and high-quality multimedia content that
complements your presentation and message.
• Always cite sources for any external audio/video content you
use.

1.Applying a theme:

a. Go to the Design tab.


b. Click on any of the theme thumbnails to preview
and apply it to your entire presentation.
c. Use the More Themes option to explore a wider
variety of themes.

2. Customizing a theme:
a. Click the down arrow in the Variants group.
b. Choose Colors, Fonts, Effects, or Background Styles to adjust
specific elements.
c. Modify the options within each category to create your desired look.
d. You can also save your customized theme for future use.

A slide master is the central control panel for


your entire presentation's design. It allows you to
make changes to fonts, colors, and layouts that will
be applied to all slides simultaneously, ensuring
consistency throughout.

1. Accessing slide master:


• Go to the View tab.
• Click on Slide Master.
2. Editing the slide master:
• Change the background, fonts, and color scheme from the Slide Master tab.

image).

• Texture fill: Apply a textured effect to your background.
