CONSUMERS ATTITUDE TOWARDS ESEWA ONLINE

PAYMENT GATEWAY

Introduction

 E-payment system is the one of the new concept of the cashless payment of
banking fund , transfer utilities bill, flight bill, online shopping, movies as
well as bus ticket which is available in the computer and mobile.
 The world is adopting the concept of paperless money transactions and
hence, the online payment system is being more popular day by day.
 eSewa is a digital payment platform developed by F1soft, an international
development company which is one of the most popular software
developing company in Nepal.
 The concept of eSewa has broadened the knowledge of people regarding
the e-payment system including debit card, credit card, mobile banking,
etc.
Research Questions
i. How do you rank the selected brands of payment gateway?
ii. Which part of eSewa services you find the most attractive/
iii. Which features you like the most in eSewa?

Objectives
iv. To examine the position/rank of eSewa-electronic payment gateway.
v. To assess the attractive part of e-payment system of eSewa.
vi. To analyze the most liked features in eSewa.
Research Methodology

Research Design = Descriptive


Population = 100
Sample size = 68
Sources of data = Primary data and secondary data
Data Collection instrument = Questionnaire
Sampling method = Convenience
Tools used = mean, pie-chart, tables
Findings

 The majority of respondents have been using eSewa for more than a year.
 Majority of 75% respondents felt easy to use eSewa.
 The most preferred e-payment gateway is eSewa compare to other selected
brands. And other Khalti, Nepzy, etc. are least preferred.
 The part of e-payment system of eSewa which is liked by the majority of
consumers is the send, receive & pay.
 Majority of respondents believes that eSewa as a payment service saves
time.
 Respondents were asked to give feedback about eSewa. Majority of
respondents i.e. 27% said that eSewa should work on privacy issues.
Implications

• More offers and reward system should be increased and improved for
retaining customers as customers satisfaction is the most important factors.
• In order to be more competitive in market, the performance rating should
be improved.
• Services like fast transactions, 24 hour service and more digital friendly
should be focused.
• New features should be added so that more customers would be attracted.
