The Learner Portfolio

You will be expected to keep all your work in a ‘learner portfolio.’

This will be partly online, on a Google Doc or on a Google Website,
and partly in an exercise book.
There will be time at the end of the introductory week to set up
your digital version, but for today we will use your exercise book to
work in.

3. To what extent are these concepts
applicable to issues in the world at the
moment?
Here is a non-literary
text.

this text?
2. What is its
purpose?

Global Issues
For the Individual Oral, you will need to be able to relate texts to specific global issues. To help
with this, you will be keeping a global issues record.

An issue can be defined as a global issue if:

1) it has significance on a wide/large scale

2) it is transnational
3) its impact is felt in everyday local contexts

It may help to think of these broader global issues
