INTRODUCTION
 The metaverse refers to a virtual universe
encompassing a collective virtual shared space where
individuals can interact with a computer-generated
environment and other users in real-time.
 It goes beyond traditional virtual reality experiences
GITA AUTONOMOUS

by creating a persistent and interconnected virtual

world that can be accessed and experienced from
various devices and platforms.
 The word “metaverse” is a portmanteau of the prefix
COLLEGE,BBSR

“meta” (meaning “beyond”) and “universe”. It’s often

used to describe the concept of a future iteration of the
internet, made up not only of static web pages but also
fully immersive 3D environments.

3
 HISTORY

 The idea of the metaverse isn't new. It has its roots in science
fiction and has been a long-standing vision of technologists and
GITA AUTONOMOUS

futurists. But in recent years, advancements in technology, such

as virtual reality, augmented reality, and blockchain, have
brought the metaverse closer to reality than ever before.

Metaverse Early adapters

 Verizon metaverse
According to Verizon Blog, Metaverse is the next generation of digital experiences where an avatar of
the real you can have unlimited interactions within a virtual community.
GITA AUTONOMOUS

 Facebook Metaverse
The Metaverse is a platform that Facebook runs. The Metaverse is a broad concept of how we interact
online, and it just so happens that all of its parts are controlled by Facebook.
COLLEGE,BBSR

11
Future Outlook
 Predict emerging trends and
technologies shaping the future of
the Metaverse, such as
advancements in VR/AR, AI, and
decentralized platforms.
GITA AUTONOMOUS

 Speculate on potential applications

of Metaverse technology across
industries like entertainment,

education, healthcare, and

commerce.

12
CONCLUSION

The metaverse is still a young concept, but it can potentially change how we interact with
technology and each other. The term “metaverse” has been used by authors such as William
Gibson and Neal Stephenson. They have described fictional worlds where users can interact in
virtual environments indistinguishable from reality. These authors have also predicted that some
GITA AUTONOMOUS

of these experiences might eventually merge into one overarching universe called “the
Metaverse”.

13
Q. will metaverse replace reality ?
GITA AUTONOMOUS

Ans. Never , it can never replace the beauty, complexity, and authenticity of
the real world , real is always real, although it is a viaduct between
virtual world and real world but we should keep the real as real and
COLLEGE,BBSR

virtual as virtual .
