Why Are

Small Groups
So Important?
Small groups study
God’s Word together.

“The disciples were devoted

to the teachings of the
apostles”
(Acts 2:42 GW).
Small groups practice how
to love.

“The disciples were devoted . . . to

fellowship . . . All the believers
kept meeting together, and they
shared everything with each
other” (Acts 2:42, 44 GW).
Small groups eat together.

“The disciples were devoted to . . .

the breaking of bread . . . They ate
their food with joyful and sincere
hearts” (Acts 2:42, 46 GW).
Small groups pray for one
another.

“They devoted themselves to . .

. prayer” (Acts 2:42 GW).
Small groups help one
another.

“They shared everything with

each other” (Acts 2:45 GW).

Doing Life Together!

Accountability

We simply cannot live on

our own. We need other
people. The accountability
we gain in small group
settings helps us sharpen
one another in our Christian
walk.
Authenticity

Christians need to be
able to be honest with
one another. And this
doesn’t come about
easily in a big crowd.
Abiding

We need community
more than we think.
To truly experience
the fullness of abiding
in Jesus, we need to be
around each another
to experience Christ
as the head and His
church as the body
(Ephesians 4:15).
Abounding

A mark of true conversion

is an overflowing
abundance of love that’s
experienced vertically
with God and horizontally
with people (Matthew
22:37-40).
