Steps in doing a Confession

1. The priest welcomes you and you make the sign of the cross.
2. You say: “Bless me father, for I have sinned. It is my first time to do
confession.
3. Confess you sins to the priest.
4. Say: “For these and all for all my sins I am sorry.”
5. Listen to the advice the priest gives you.
6. The priest will give you a penance to complete after you leave the
confessional.
7. Say the Act of Contrition
8. The priest gives you absolution.
9. After leaving, complete your penance.

O my God,
I am heartily sorry for
having offended You,
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of heaven ,
And the pains of hell;
But most off all because
I offended You my God,
Who are all good and deserving off all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace,
to confess my sins, to do penance
and to amend my life.

Let Us Pray

Pour forth we beseech You, O Lord, Your grace into our hearts
that we to whom the incarnation of Christ, Your Son, was made known
by the message of an angel, may by his passion and cross be brought to
the glory of his resurrection, through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart Of Mary,

I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of the Sacred Heart in union with the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass through out the world, in reparations for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relative and friends and in particular for the
intentions of the Holy Father . Amen
