■ Romania is a conuntry located at the crossroads of Central, Eastern and
Southeastern Europe.
■ It boulders with Ukraine(north), Hungary(west) and
Serbia(outwest),Moldova(east) and Black Sea(south).
■ It has temperate-continental climate.
■ Its area is 238,397 km long.
■ It’s the twelfth-largest country in Europe and sixth-most populous member state
of European union.
■ 1. January 2007. Romania and Bulgaria became members of the European
Union.
■ It’s a parlmentary republic with semi presidential system.
■ Its currency is a romanian lev.
■ Most Romanians identify as Romanian Orthodox Christians.
Buchares

■ Buchares is a capital and the largest city of


Romania.
■ It’s a industrial,cultural and financial centre.
■ It is located in the southeast of the country.
■ At the end of 17 century Buchares became the
permanent location of the Wallachian court.
■ The city has a large number of churches that are usually small, in Byzantine style.
■ The most important centres for higher education are the Polytechnical University of
Bucharest and the University of Bucharest
■ Some of the popular places to visit in Bucharest are: The old town, Palace of the
Parlament, Romanian Athenaeum, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca.

Constanta

■ One of the biggest towns in Romania.


■ Constanta is historically known as Tomis.
■ Its the oldest continuously inhabited city in Romania.
■ It was founded around 600 BC.
■ The city is located on the Black Sea coast.
Cluj-Napoca

■ One of the most crowded and biggest cities in Romania.


■ Cluj-Napoca is the fourth-most populous city
in Romania.
■ Located in the Somesul Micriver valley, the city is
considered the unofficial capital of the historical
province of Transylvania.

■ The blue is said to represent liberty.
■ Yellow symbolizes justice.
■ Red represents fraternity of the nation.
■ Romania has had several national flags used throughout
its history, but all have used the same colours and
similar designs.
■ June 26 has been designated as the Day of the National
Flag of Romania.
