Ang strand na ito ay sumasaklaw sa malawak na hanay ng mga
disiplina na sumasaklaw sa pagsisiyasat at pagtatanong sa mga
kondisyon ng tao na gumagamit ng empirical, analytical, at kritikal na
mga pamamaraan ng pag-aaral ng pag-uugali ng tao at mga pagbabago
sa lipunan. Ang mga mag-aaral na kumukuha ng mga digri sa kolehiyo
sa strand na ito ay magkakaroon ng mas malalim na pag-unawa sa
sining, kultura, panitikan, pulitika, at lipunan at kung paano
nakakatulong sa kanila ang kumplikadong interplay ng mga facet na
ito na pahalagahan ang indibidwal na pag-uugali at panlipunang grupo
