Astrophytum

• Astrophytum is a genus of six species of


cacti, native to North America.
• They usually grow individually spherical to
columnar green shoots,and might reach the
height of 1.5 metres.
• The shoots are often densely covered with
fine white tufts of hair, but occasionally
they are completely bald.
• Thorns may be present or may be missing
entirely.
• They have large yellow flowers with red
throats.They open during the day.
Peperomia rubella

• Peperomia rubella is a plant species in the family


Piperaceae.
• It’s endemic to Jamaica.
• It’s at relatively small plant, with reddish stems,
hence the name “rubella”
• It has dark green fleshy leaves, generally arranged
in clusters of four.
Crassula

• Crassula is a genus of succulent plants,


containing about 200 accepted species,
including the well known jade plant.
• They are members of the stonecrop family.
• They are native to many parts of the globe,
but their cultivated varieties originate
almost exclusively from species from the
Eastern Cape of South Africa.
• They are propagated by stem and leaf
cuttings.
• Some lose foliage and die due to
unforeseen temperature conditions.
Asplenium daucifolium

• More commonly known as fern.


• It’s a species of fern that belongs to the Aspleniceae
family.
• It’s endemic to the Mascarene Islands.
