Definition of Perpendicular Lines
Lines Two intersecting
lines are perpendicular if they
form a right angle. The symbol
“⊥” is used to indicate
perpendicular lines. In the
figure at the right, line l is
perpendicular to line m, or in
symbols, you write as “l ⊥

congruent.
