modal verbs and passive
voice

Modal Verbs don’t change depending on the person,

(I walk, he walks -- but Modal Verb CAN -- I can, he can)
and are followed directly by another verb without “to”

Passive voice is used when the action is more important
than who or what made or performed that action, or
when we don’t know who did the action.
