 About The Lake:
Udai Sagar Lake is one of the prominent lakes in Udaipur, a beautiful city in the state of Rajasthan, India. was
built by Maharana Udai Singh II, the founder of Udaipur, in 1565. The lake was created by damming the Berach
River to meet the city's water and irrigation needs.
Key features-
• Historical Significance: Udai Sagar Lake holds historical significance as it was one of the major sources of
water for the city of Udaipur in ancient times.
• Architectural Marvel: The lake is known for its impressive stone masonry work and the surrounding lush
greenery.
