What is Season?

• There are four different season a year

with different types of weather. These
are spring, summer, fall and winter.
 SPRING
This season lasts from March to June.
Also known as “Springtime”. Where
the cycle of life starts. This season is
warmer and can be wet.
 SUMMER
This season lasts from June to
August. Summer is the hottest and
brightest of the four season,
occurring after spring and before
autumn.
 AUTUMN
This season also known as
“Fall”. Autumn lasts from
September to November, this
season is cooler and usually
windy.
 WINTER
This season lasts from December to February.
Winter is the coldest season of the year. It
falls between autumn and spring. Winter
comes from an old Germanic word that
means “time of water.” This refers to the rain
and snow of winter.

 WET SEASON
Characterized by rainy season with thunderstorm
and occurs generally from June to November. It
is influenced by the Southwest monsoon
(Locally known as Habagat) a seasonal wind
that brings heavy rain.
 DRY SEASON
Characterized by hot and cloudless days. The sun
always shines during this season from December to
May. Dry season divided into two. The cool and hot
dry season. Cool dry season lasts from December to
February and the hot dry season lasts from March to
May.
