INTRODUCTION
Job satisfaction is an essential aspect of employee well-being and a critical factor in organizational success.
In the retail industry, where employees interact directly with customers and are the face of the company,
job satisfaction is crucial for employee performance and customer satisfaction. This project aims to analyze
the job satisfaction level of employees at Hyper Market in Lucknow, India.
The research methodology utilized for this study was a mixed-method approach, including both qualitative
and quantitative methods. A survey questionnaire was distributed among 100 employees at Hyper Market,
and in-depth interviews were conducted with five employees to gain a deeper understanding of their job
satisfaction level.
The results of the study revealed that the overall job satisfaction level of employees at Hyper Market is
moderate. The majority of employees reported satisfaction with their work schedules, job security, and
salary, while dissatisfaction was expressed regarding promotional opportunities, recognition, and work-life
balance. The in-depth interviews provided insights into the reasons for these findings. Employees stated
that the lack of growth opportunities and recognition for their hard work were the main causes of
dissatisfaction.
The study also identified several factors that contribute to job satisfaction at Hyper Market, including a
positive work environment, supportive co-workers, and good relationships with supervisors. These findings
highlight the importance of fostering a positive work culture and addressing the concerns of employees to
improve job satisfaction.

LІMІTАTІONS OF STUDY

The study is limited to the Hyper markets lucknow so the study

is subject to the limitation of area.
The time period of the study was limited which may provide a
deceptive picture in comparison of the study based on long run.
Sampling size was of only 100, because only these people had
attended
soft skill development training.
The study is based only on secondary & primary data so lack of

SUGGESTION AND RECOMMENDATION

Highly educated and experience people should be recruited.

Salary is the most important factor considered in job satisfaction. So employees should be
given good salary.
Employees performance should be appraised from time to time so that organization can come
to know about the efficiency of the organization.
According to their performance, they should be given incentives.
Work should be assigned according to the qualification of the employees.
Organization should try to adopt certain measures to enhance team spirit and co-ordination
among the employees.
CONCLUSION
Job satisfaction may act as key to progress for any organization. Because, if the employees are
satisfied with their job, with their management and overall organizational structure, then their they
will be willing to exert their productivity, the rate of absenteeism will be low enough, they will be
reluctant to turn over to another company, will keep themselves away from deviant workplace
behavior and will engage in organizational citizenship behavior- all of these attitudes will ultimately
help the company to achieve its goal and maximize its profitability. So, from the perspective of
hyper market, job satisfaction should be the major concern for organizations to ensure better work
force, better work environment as well as further development.
