INTRODUCTION
Aluminium is a soft, high density, suppleness, non-flammable,
corrosion resistant and used in aircraft components, ships etc.,
To avoid wastage from the common subtractive manufacturing, Metal
Additive manufacturing is a technique which reduces the wastage
from machining process.
There are many types of additive manufacturing methods, the most
common method is Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing(WAAM) due to
its cost efficient then other Powder based methods.
CMT-WAAM is considered to be more suitable than traditional
WAAM process due to its regulated heat input and optimise the weld
lines.
METAL ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Metal additive manufacturing, also
known as metal 3D printing, takes the
additive manufacturing process and
applies it to exclusively metals. By
layering metal powders, either with an
energy source or a binding agent,
precise objects can be designed and
constructed.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Bead deposition of ER4043 in CMT based WAAM
To study the mechanical properties of ER4043 deposited
bead
To study about SEM analysis
To study the composition of ER4043 alloy using OES
