In-situ slum redevelopment


• Slum Redevelopment using land as a resource with
private participation
• Slums on Central Government land/State
Government land/ULB land
• Slum rehabilitation grant of Rs. 1 lakh per house on
an average.
• Flexibility to States/Cities to deploy this central grant
for other slums being redeveloped
• States/Cities to provide additional FSI/FAR or TDR to
make projects financially viable
• Land cost not to be charged by Central Govt. agencies

In-situ slum redevelopment


• Slums on Private Owned Land
• States/Cities to provide additional FSI/FAR or TDR
to land owner as per its policy
• No Central Assistance

Credit linked subsidy


• Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive a
subsidy on their home loan interest rates,
• reducing the overall cost of borrowing and making
monthly mortgage payments more affordable.
• The subsidy is typically provided directly to the
lending institution, thereby lowering the financial
burden on the homeowner.

Affordable housing in partnership


• A Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS)
• To provide financial assistance to EWS houses being
built in various partnership models by
States/UTs/Cities including private sector and
industries
• Central assistance @ Rs. 1.5 lakh per EWS house
• Projects under AHP to have a minimum of 250 houses
with at least 35% houses of EWS category.
• Preference to physically handicapped persons, senior
citizens, SC/ ST/ OBCs, minorities, single women,
transgender and other weaker and vulnerable sections
of the society

Subsidy for beneficiary led individual const.


• A Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS)
• Assistance to EWS categories to either construct new
house or to enhance existing houses on their own
• Central assistance upto Rs. 1.5 lakh per house
• Enhancement shall mean addition of minimum carpet
area of 9.0 Sq Mt into the existing house with pucca
construction of at least one habitable room or room with
kitchen and/or bathroom and/or toilet conforming to NBC
norms
• The total carpet area after enhancement must not be less
than 21 Sqm and must not be more than 30 Sqm

Interest sponsorship @6.5% for a tenure 15


years
• EWS – Household with income upto 3lakh per annum
• LIG - Household with income from 3 to 6lakh per
annum
• Loan can be profited for new development or expansion
of rooms, kitchen etc to existing house.
• Mannual scavangers, women, SC,ST,OBC, person with
incapacities, traansgenders to be given priority

Solid/Hollow concrete Blocks


The efforts of Building Centres resulted in production of
solid/hollow concrete blocks and pavement tiles by
substitution of conventional materials like bricks. These
products are widely used in construction throughout India.

Ferro Cement, FAL-G Products and Wood


Substitute Products
In southern states, ferro cement elements, FAL-G
components, MCR tiles, RCC doors/window frames are
widely used in construction activities. These products are in
substitution of conventional building materials.

Support to Building Material Industries


HUDCO extends financial assistance through equity and
term loan support to Building Material Industries for
manufacturing building materials and components which
are innovative and alternates to conventional options and
utilizing agricultural and industrial wastes with energy
effieicient and environmentally appropriate options.

Waste to wealth
• Gypsum products being manufactured from
phosphogypsum waste of fertilizer industries
• Fly-ash based building products such as bricks,
blocks, tiles, pipes etc.
• Polymer product being manufactured from marble
waste.
• Partition and ceiling boards being manufactured from
agricultural waste.
• Wood substitute products. PVC profiles substitute of
conventional wooden frames

Bamboo Centre of Excellence


The bamboo has emerged as a highly promising
green building material in terms of low energy
consumption, sustainable, fast growing, as well as
being environment friendly

North East, parts of Orissa, Karnataka, Kerala,


Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranachal, Jharkhand, etc.

HUDCO has entered into an MoU with IIT-Delhi for


syne5rgising and spreading Bamboo technologies
with HUDCO’s cost component of Rs.71 lacs
including Rs.30 lacs as grant from Ministry of Rural

HUDCO

HUDCO is a unique institution with its motto of

Company, under the Ministry of Housing and
Urban Affairs (MoHUA), HUDCO has been a key
partner with the Government in building assets for
the Nation. In its operations, HUDCO lays a
considerable emphasis on the housing need of the
"deprived" that is Economically Weaker Sections
(EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG).
