CALCULATING THE DEMAND LOAD

14
II. CALCULATING THE DEMAND LOAD
1. Calculation method
Based on the national standard TCVN 9026:2012

• The demand load is calculated using the number of equipment,

each equipment nominal power () and power factor ().
• The calculated demand load should be multiplied utilizing factors
() that listed in the standard.

15
II. CALCULATING THE DEMAND LOAD
1. Calculation method
𝑛
𝑃 𝑑𝑒 =𝐾 𝑢 × ∑ 𝑃 𝑖
𝑖=1
Where:
- is the demand factor of the lighting load. In this project, the demand factor is chosen to
be 1.
- is the nominal power of the light set
- n is the number of equipment

𝑄(𝐾𝑉𝑎𝑟)=∑ (𝑁𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑚𝑠)∗(𝑅𝑒𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑓 𝑒𝑎𝑐h𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑚¿)¿

III. EQUIPMENT SELECTION

30
III. EQUIPMENT SELECTION
2. Selection of Three-Phase Transformer
Because phase A has the highest value, the apparent power
of the three-phase transformer is:

𝑆 𝑇 =3 ∗ 𝑆 𝐴 =3 ∗ 59.034=177.1 ( 𝐾𝑉𝐴 )

31
III. EQUIPMENT SELECTION
2. Selection of Three-Phase Transformer
In normal operation, the transformer has an allowable
overload range of 25%, so the chosen transformer should have
the apparent nominal power:

VOLTAGE DROP CALCULATION

37
IV. VOLTAGE DROP CALCULATION
1. Calculation method
The calculation is based on cable specification
∆ U =( 𝑉𝑜𝑙𝑡𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑑𝑟𝑜𝑝 ) ∗ L ∗ I
∆𝑈
∆ U %=
𝑈𝑛
Where:
• is the lenght of the line
• is the working current on the line
• is the nominal voltage
