Introduction
What is
zeolite?
Zeolite are microporous, aluminosilicate minerals
commonly used as commercial absorbents and
catalysts
Structure
Tetrahedrally connected framework structures corner-sharing aluminate AlO4 and
silicate SiO4 tetrahedra. . Zeolites have a porous structure that makes them great
for adsorption purposes, like in water purification and as catalysts in chemical
reactions.

Research Background

Zeolites, porous minerals with unique adsorption and catalytic properties, find
applications in water purification, catalysis, agriculture, and more. Their
ability to selectively trap ions and molecules makes them valuable in
environmental remediation and industrial processes. This project aims to
explore “Synthesis of nano-zeolite by different methods”

XRD (X-ray diffraction) analysis

Figures shows X-ray patterns of nanozeolites

made by different methods. Traditional
methods took days to form zeolite X, while
unconventional techniques rapidly produced
pure crystalline zeolite X within minutes.
Microwave methods initially formed a mix of
zeolites, later resulting in zeolite X.
SEM ( scanning electron microscope) analysis

The study examines different methods

to create zeolite X, finding that M3
produced nano-sized zeolites with tiny
nanopores, showing excellent
crystalline structure, comparable to or
better than commercial zeolite X. This
highlights M3's effectiveness in
crafting high-quality nanostructured
zeolite X.
