UAN ACTIVATION

UAN Activation Process


Kindly follow these 11 steps:

Step-1. Visit https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/


Step 2 : Click Activate UAN, under Important Links
Step-3. Enter all the details required such as the state and EPFO office, name, date of birth, and captcha.

Step-4. Click on 'Get Authorization Pin'.


Step-5. You will receive the PIN on the registered mobile number.

Step-6. Click on 'Validate OTP and get UAN' after entering the PIN.

Step-7. On the next page, the employee must enter the OTP, check the 'I Agree' disclaimer
checkbox, and click on 'Validate OTP and Activate UAN'.
Step-8. After receiving UAN and password on their registered mobile numbers use those details to log in to the EPFO site.

Step-9. Once you login attempt to change password


Step-10. Once you enter the password, get click on “Get Aadhaar OTP’’

Step-11. Click Change password after entering OTP.


Facing issue activating UAN?

If you get any of these error, it is because there is mismatch between EPF records and aadhaar
Mismatch could be for below reasons:

As you cannot do these corrections online,

You will have to submit the below to payroll team as hard copy for
online correction.
If you recently applied for a name change in Aadhaar
1 and you missed the password to access the UAN 1. Error screenshot
portal, you cannot access the portal at this time. 2. Updated Aadhar card
3. Fill the attached joint declaration
4. Transfer certificate with name (TC) *optional
5. Letter (why changes in Aadhar).

Your previous employer created EPFO with wrong

name (against Aadhaar)

Initiate name change in UDAI, once correction updated try activating


If name in aadhar is wrong and not corrected yet
