INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION

Bullying is one of the most frequently

occurring problems among schools-going
children. It is a form of aggressive behavior
characterized by intentional harm caused by
an imbalance of power among individuals
INTRODUCTION
In recent years, the emergence of
technology and social media has given rise
to a new form of bullying known as
cyberbullying.
INTRODUCTION
Cyberbullying is the use of technology
to harass or humiliate someone
repeatedly. It is a growing problem
among young students, especially in
junior high school, because of the
social advancement of Information and
Communication Technologies (ICT).
INTRODUCTION
This is especially true for mobile devices
and the internet, which are used to inflict a
new form of bullying known as
cyberbullying by facilitating the aggressors
"anonymity and encouraging the spread of
face-to-face assaults
INTRODUCTION
This is also true of excessive internet use,
which can be dangerous, particularly for
young people. Abuse of the internet can
result in violent behavior.
INTRODUCTION
Cyberbullying is linked to serious
psychological problems in young
people, including despair, emotional
discomfort, low self-esteem, and
subpar academic performance.
INTRODUCTION
Today, especially among junior high
school, cyberbullying has grown to be a
serious issue. It describes the practice of
bullying, harassing, or threatening
individuals using electronic
communication tools like the internet,
social media, and cell phones.
Due of their lack of life experience, social
skills, and cognitive capacities, junior high
school are particularly susceptible to
cyberbullying. This study aims to investigate
prevalence of cyberbullying among junior
high school students in Inawayan national
High School, in the Philippines.

INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
In Lebanon Bullying has been linked to
melancholy, social anxiety, physical and
psychological abuse of children, and
Internet addiction. According to Diana
Malaeb et al. (2020), bullying is a
problem among school-aged children
and adolescents in Lebanon.
Bullying is also widespread among kids
and teenagers in Australia. According
to Amarzaya Jadambaa et al. (2019),
widespread implementation of anti-
bullying programs in Australian schools
is a practical public health strategy for
the prevention of mental health issues.
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
Internet addiction mediates the
relationship between cybervictimization
and both psychological and physical
symptoms. As a result, it is important to
manage Internet addiction among
cyberbullying victims.
INTRODUCTION
Additionally, physical activity reduces
harmful effects on health and should be
encouraged as a result (Ling Lin et al.,
2020).In Central Luzon, Philippines a
social disorder caused by the
advancement of technology and increased
access to the internet is cyberbullying.
INTRODUCTION
This study intends
to evaluate the
characteristics of
the students and the
frequency if
cyberbullying.
In Tacloban City Division have generally
unfavorable attitude toward bullying.
Their level of exposure to bullying as
victims was moderate suggesting
occasional experience of being
bullied.
INTRODUCTION
As a bully, the exposure was high.
Student’s bully attitudes were
significantly associated to nuclear
family size and to their parents’
educational attainment (Analyn C
Españo et al., 2021).
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
In Barangay Inawayan, Santa Cruz,
Davao Del Sur, Philippines the
present period, cyberbullying has
become a serious issue, particularly
among adolescents.
INTRODUCTION
It describes the use of electronic
communications tools including the
internet, social media, and cell
phones to bully garass, or threaten
people.
Due of their lack of life
experience, social
skills, and cognitive
capacities, junior high
school children are
especially susceptible
to cyberbullying.

INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION

One such institution that has seen

an increase in cyberbullying
cases among its pupils is
Inawayan National High School
in sta Cruz Davao Del Sur,
Philippines.
INTRODUCTION
Therefore, the purpose of this case
study is to investigate the
phenomena of cyberbullying among
junior high school students at
Inawayan National High School and
to pinpoint the causes of this issue.
INTRODUCTION
The lack of research on the
relationship between internet addiction
and cyberbullying victimization is a
substantial research gap in the study
of cyberbullying victimization among
youngsters.
INTRODUCTION
Only a few research have looked at how
internet addiction may raise the chance
of cyberbullying victimization, despite the
fact that many have evaluated the
prevalence and effects of cyberbullying
on kids and teenagers.
It is critical to conduct research on how
often youngsters who are internet
addicts are victims of cyberbullying for a
number of reasons.

INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
In the first place, cyberbullying is a
problem that is pervasive and has a
negative impact on children's and
adolescent' mental health and
wellbeing.
INTRODUCTION

A considerable fraction of young

people are impacted by internet
addiction, which is a second issue of
growing concern.
Thirdly, understanding the link between
internet addiction and cyberbullying

INTRODUCTION
victimization should help with the
development of preventive measures
and interventions meant to lessen
cyberbullying and its effects.
INTRODUCTION
The difficulty in identify
aligned assessing these
dimensions is one of the
main issues with studies on
internet addiction and
victims of cyberbullying.
