 Brief Description of the Section

 The alignment starts with an elevated ramp section for twin track accommodation from start
of package at chainage 9+063 to chainage 9+300. The underground box start from chainage
9+300 to 9703.326. The corridor goes underground beyond Mominpur to Esplanade.

Filed by: Jagannath Prasad Gupta (Tenants of City Properties )

Plea by Petitioner: Quashing the Gazette Notification for Acquisition of 532.634 sqm of City Properties Pvt. Ltd. and the
orders passed by Ld. CA Court, and imposing injunction restraining RVNL/Metro Railway from taking
any steps towards acquisition of City Properties.

Status of hearings: As on date, 14 nos. of hearings have been held at Hon’ble Court, the last being on 09.04.2024. Next
hearing will be held on 09.05.2024.

2. WPA(P)/569/2023:

Affecting construction of all 03 Metro Stations i.e. Victoria, Park Street and Esplanade and 340m of Tunnel
portion( cut and cover)

Filed by: People United for Better Living in Calcutta (PUBLIC)

Plea by Petitioner: Setting up of Expert Committee to examine the feasibility of transplantation in Maidan Area.
Prohibiting RVNL from proceeding with the plan of construction of Victoria Station. Transmit all
records pertaining to construction of Victoria station. Change of Alignment.

Status of hearings: As on date, 3 nos. of hearings have been held at Hon’ble Court, the last being on 04.01.2024.
Next hearing will be held shortly. Hon’ble High Court had imposed injunction on transplantation of
trees in Maidan Area upto 09.11.2023

 Court Cases at Hon’ble Calcutta High Court

Hon’ble High Court ordered RVNL to obtain necessary clearances for uprooting of trees in Maidan
area from Defence, Forest etc department. Permission for transplantation of trees in Victoria has
been accorded by Defence on 19.12.2023. Permission is awaited from K Forest Department of
West Bengal. Court has permitted to execute other work except uprooting of trees till NOC granted
by court.

3. WPA/1993/2024:

Filed by: Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI Hospital)

Plea by Petitioner: Furnish the technical data to CMRI as sought vide letter dated 14.12.2021 addressed to RVNL.
Commanding the Ld. CA Court not to proceed with claim compensation till data as sought on
14.12.2021 is furnished to CMRI.

Status of hearings: As on date, 4 nos. Of hearings have been held in the court of Justice Suvra Ghosh. Last hearing
held on 28.03.2024 , wherein the Interim Stay on award of claim cases of CMRI JB 645 of 2022
and JB 657 of 2022 has been extended upto 31.05.2024. Next date of hearing has been scheduled
on 25.04.2024. Replies of observations raised by CMRI vide letter dated 14.12.2021 have been
made on 15.02.2024. Further observations received from CMRI on 09.03.2024 and 27.03.2024,
replies of which has been given on 13.03.2024 and 05.04.2024 respectively.

1. Casting Yard:

• Erection and commissioning of batching plant :Out of total min. 2 nos of batching plant of capacity 60

i. Project Manager is not yet deployed within 30 days of LOA. Delayed till 31st of March 2024 is of 220
days.
ii. Construction Manager (Civil & Geotechnical) has also not been deployed even after multiple instruction
issued by the Engineer.
iii. L&T has stated that Expert Agency M/s Green morning is deployed for the transplantation works.
iv. Out of total 50 Nos of Key Personnel, 15 Nos have been approved & deployed.

 Status of Work: Geotechnical work and Health Minitoring

Additional bore hole/Geo Technical Investigation:

i. M/s CEG has been engaged by L&T for Geotechtechnical activities.
ii. Total 53 Nos. of additional bore holes have been completed. GFR & GIR for Victoria and Launching shaft
is received..
Building Health Monitoring:
iii. M/s SS Geotech Instrumentation has been engaged by L&T for Building Health study.
iv. Building Health Monitoring of Victoria Memorial is started. Recording of existing condition of Victoria
Memorial is under progress.
v. Health Monitoring of Turf View Complexes is being planned to commence shortly.
Implementation of PMIS software for project management and documentation:
vi. M/s WRENCH has been proposed by L&T on 10.04.2024 for Web based GIS/real time data
management, implementation of BIM project management etc. The same is under review with GC.
