Dangote Sugar Refinery, Numan

Dangote Sugar refinery, located at Adamawa state Numan local government,
is a refinery belonging to the dangote group of company which specialize is
planting harvesting and production of sugar. And I had my siwes experience
was at the department of harvest Transport and mechanical services which
are given the taste of maintenance and. Repaires of small truck and
executive vehicle for the refinary
 EXPERIENCE GAINED

During my SIWES at Dangote Sugar Refinery my trainings Were focused on

1. Type of tool used in the workshop ( Spanners, jack, wrenches lever )
2. Type of engine used in trucks
3. How to servce vehicles
4. How to replace various componentsLocated at the wheel ( brake pad ,dampers,
springs, bearings, ball joint , control arm ,linKage and antilrollbar.
5. DeTection of engine misfire ( Which include Fuel filter, plugs, Bent valve,
Trimming belt/chain )
 APPLICATIONS OF EXPERIENCE GAINED

APPLICATION OF EXPERIENCE GAINED

1. The tools from meen 303 which talked about machining
2. Theory of vibration. How dambers help mitigate vibration.
3. Heat transfer how the cooling system of engine work
4. Stochemistry and IC cycle,
5. Fluid mechanics from lubricant circulation and delivery if fuel to engine.

APPLICATIONS OF EXPERIENCE GAINED

APPLICATION OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:

Building APIs: With proficiency in programming Languages such as Python and JavaScript I
dived into backend framework for building APIs such as Django for Python and Express Js
for JavaScript.
Specific Examples of API Development Projects:
i. Student Resources Hub (Python/Django Rest Framework):
• Developed a comprehensive API-based project called "Student Resources Hub" using
Python and Django Rest Framework
• Designed RESTful endpoints for posting, retrieving, updating, and deleting resources,
ensuring a user-friendly and intuitive interface for managing educational materials.
SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF API DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS:

ii. Social Media Application (Node.js/Express):

• Created an API-based social media application using Node.js and Express
framework.
• Implemented features such as user registration, login, profile updates, and CRUD
operations for creating, retrieving, updating, and deleting blog posts.
• Utilized Express middleware for request validation, authentication, and error
handling to enhance the security and reliability of the API.
 CONCLUSION
My SIWES program at 3logy Limited has been a transformative journey of
personal and professional growth. The challenges faced, lessons learned, and
experiences gained have not only enhanced my technical skills but have also
shaped my character and outlook on the IT industry.
