Expression vs.

Equation
An expression is number, a variable, a combination of number and
variables and operation symbols.
Ex.
X + 5 – 10
2x + 1
X+y
An equation is made up of two expressions connected by an equal
sign.
8m + 5 + 10n
A+ 4b = 12c + 3
Translate into verbal phrases.

Write an expression for each of the following:
