A compass rose, also known as a
wind rose or compass star, is a
shape that displays the cardinal
directions and their intermediate
points on a compass, map, nautical
chart, or monument.
 The north always points
to the north pole of the
Earth.

to where the sun sets in to where the sun rises in
the evening. the morning.

The south points to the

south pole.
The letters N, E, S, and W stand for North, East, South, and West.
Take note of where each direction leads. This will help you
remember which directions are north, south, east, and west.
