to the Gross Domestic Product in the
developing countries like India is about
10%
✔ Olden times , construction work is
conducted under dangerous condition
and situation , to optimize this problem
we use automation in construction.
✔ Automation increases productivity of
construction project , reduces duration of
work and increases construction safety
and quality of work.
✔ Since India has more man power in
world , automation is not replacement of
work of labour but can be important for
Mega Construction.

⮚CONCRETE MIXER : It is used for mixing cement , sand, aggregates,
water admixtures also. It is of two types:
❖Batch Mixer: It is widely used machine for concrete mixing .It is
process of mixing of all materials and discharging concrete in
required quantity .
❖Continuous Mixer: It is a continuous process of mixing and
discharging of concrete. It is used in large construction like
dams ,G+4 buildings.
❖Advance version of this is Ready Mix Concrete.
⮚CONCRETE POURING: It is of two types:
❖Boot Concrete Pump: It uses a remote controlled articulating
robotic arm to place accurately.
❖Line Pump: It is either placed or mounted on trailer.
⮚PILE BORING EQUIPMENT: It is used to make bore holes in
construction to place piles.
⮚PILE DRIVING EQUIPMENT: It lifts up the pile and keep in position
to place in hole at required depth. 12

CONCLUSION

• Automated construction technology on its continuous and consequent application

will decrease the construction period and this will provide large economic
advantages. At the same time advent of technology and continuous research and
innovations has also made these products user friendly and Indian brands like

favorites in the field.
