How to protect the environment

Another way is to use eco-friendly products in your life. This can

contribute to a healthier environment by reducing the number of
harmful chemicals and toxins in the air, ground, and water. To protect
the environment, we should be conscious of what we consume and how
we consume it.
TYPE OF POLLUTIONS

Air Pollution
Noise Pollution
Water Pollution
Soil Pollution
Other types of pollution are :-

Thermal pollution
Light pollution
Radioactive pollution
AIR POLLUTION

Vehicle emissions, fuel oils and natural gas to heat homes, by-
products of manufacturing and power generation, particularly coal-
fueled power plants, and fumes from chemical production are the
primary sources of human-made air pollution.
NOISE POLLUTION

Not all sound is considered noise pollution. The World Health Organization
(WHO) defines noise above 65 decibels (dB) as noise pollution. To be precise, noise
becomes harmful when it exceeds 75 decibels (dB) and is painful above 120 dB.
WATER POLLUTION

Water pollution occurs when harmful substances—often chemicals or

microorganisms—contaminate a stream, river, lake, ocean, aquifer, or
other body of water, degrading water quality and rendering it toxic to
humans or the environment. This widespread problem of water
pollution is jeopardizing our health
SOIL POLLUTIN

Soil pollution refers to the contamination of soil with anomalous

concentrations of toxic substances. It is a serious environmental
concern since it harbours many health hazards. For example,
exposure to soil containing high concentrations of benzene increases
the risk of contracting leukaemia.
WATH THINGS CAN
WE TO REDUCE POLLUTION
Drive less: Drive less, carpool, use public transit, or bike when possible.

Drive wisely: Keep your car well-maintained, don't idle, and

choose fuel-efficient vehicles.

Use less energy: Turn off your engine, use less energy, and switch to
electric or hand-powered lawn equipment.

Avoid burning: Don't burn garbage, leaves, or other materials.

Plant trees: Plant and care for trees.

HOW CAN POLLUTION
HARM US .

Both short- and long-term exposure to air pollution can lead to

a wide range of diseases, including stroke, chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease, trachea, bronchus and lung cancers,
aggravated asthma and lower respiratory infections.
