BLUE MOUNTAINS?
• Blue Mountains is in the eastern part of
New South Wales, Australia. The range
comprises a well-dissected sandstone
plateau that rises from an eastern
escarpment of 370–550 metres to 1,180
metres.

• The Blue Mountains are about 300 million years old, but it’s said the rocks under the mountains
are about 470 million years old
